1970: Frederick Lock and Key Inc. was established
in October of 1970 by William Frederick.
·
1977: William's son, Paul, started working with his
father fulltime.
·
1986: Paul and his wife Michele bought out the
founder of the lockshop and took over Frederick Lock and Key.
·
1990: Due to
the company's success a larger building was necessary,
so the business was moved from the residence of Paul Frederick to the 3,500
square foot building at 1022 6th Avenue.
·
2008: An addition was built to the lockshop, which turned the building into a 4,600 square foot
facility.
Frederick
Lock and Key now consist of 5 full-time locksmiths
with combined total of over a 100 years of experience. Paul and Jim Frederick are both second-generation
locksmiths. William Friedenberger,
David Claar, and Eric Savoy are all first-generation locksmiths.
Michele Frederick has been the office manager
for over 20 years and is also the electronic and
remote (fob) key specialist. Paulette
Frederick is the newest member of the lockshop
crew. Frederick Lock and Key is also
armed with 4 fully equipped service vehicles, which they use for the 24 hour emergency service (7 days a week).
